Position Overview
The Vice President Sales, Dealer Services is responsible for the management and leadership of sales activities within Experian Automotive business unit focused on the Dealer Services client base. The Vice President Sales reports to the Senior Vice President, Automotive Sales and is a member of the Experian Automotive Sales Leadership team and responsible for ensuring that sales goals are achieved/exceeded to advance company financial objectives.

The Vice President Sales will have a demonstrated track record for success in sales management and knowledge of forming strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in the Automotive Industry, particularly with Dealer Services, and will serve as a spokesperson for Experian Automotive products. He/She will be effective at new business development with established relationships with C-suite executives. To be successful, the candidate will be a client champion within Experian to ensure the clients base current and future needs are addressed. In addition, the Vice President must have proven hands-on leadership and be able to motivate and inspire employees and customers.

Essential functions of Vice President, Automotive Sales include:

Planning:
• In coordination with the Senior Management Team, establish both market and target customer strategies for the customer segment
• Provide effective people and sales process leadership for the sales team to achieve aggressive revenue targets optimized across existing client growth and new customer acquisition
• Manage annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the agreed strategies.
• Develop an annual Sales Plan and provide quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan.
• Coordinate the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with all of the necessary functional departments
• Develop a talent roadmap that includes the selection, onboarding and development of top talent and ensures ready-successors to leadership positions
• Develop pricing strategies for customer segments and channel partners

Execution
• Set revenue targets and manage both productivity and efficiency within the sales force.
• Develop and maintain Executive level /C level and senior level client relationships in key accounts and network with high potential prospects and clients.
• Define and manage the monthly and annual sales objectives for the team’s sales personnel
• Manage the overall sales process by developing and motivating the team
• Perform management functions in the area of pipeline development and sales forecasting
• Identifying and removing barriers to achieving goals
• Engage with strategic account executive management to create and develop client loyalty and increase revenue

Candidate Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required and an MBA is a plus (or equivalent experience)
• Possess solid business acumen and a deep understanding of Automotive market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
• Experience as a sales executive in the automotive industry selling data and analytics.
• Minimum 10 years in a sales role, at least five years in a sales executive position with solid relationships with C-suite
• Previous management of a direct sales team with ability to set clear direction for sales associates and hold them accountable for their performance
• Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels to exceed budget and goals
• Ability to effectively interact with senior level executives
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
• Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to focus company resources to achieve business results.
• Organized and structured with a solid level of accomplishment in the inception and execution of ideas
• Has strong presentation, negotiating, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Ability to set policies, but remain flexible when customer conditions require
