The world of consumer credit can feel complex. After all, our database represents 220 million credit-active consumers nationwide with 1.3 billion updates flowing through monthly. How can a business sort through this enormous dataset to identify consumers, decision on loans, market to prospects and collect?

Experian’s Consumer Information Services division offers a suite of solutions to assist lenders, government entities, retailers and beyond with all aspects of the customer credit lifecycle.

We are currently seeking an experienced product management and marketing professional to develop and manage information and data services in the credit industry with a focus on trended data tools for targeting, risk and profitability across the lending life cycle. The candidate will be responsible for defining and executing product strategy, new product development and innovation, translating strategy into product roadmaps and go to market plans/campaigns. Candidate must be able to develop and execute new product ideas and work well across multiple teams: Development, internal partners, Sales, Operations, and Marketing. The successful candidate will be highly effective in understanding how lenders are using our products and services today, the impact of new trends, developments and competitive responses on our products, and will collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders in all facets of the job 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and drive new product development road maps, messaging and positioning
  • Provide leadership in product reviews, grooming product backlogs and Agile product development
  • Actively provide strong product and market expertise to Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to help drive revenue growth in the North American market with insight around alternative data products
  • Drive voice of the customer into the creation of new products and on-going development of product enhancements or services
  • Apply market intelligence and P&L analysis against product investments to establish priority and highest revenue opportunities; work with client and internal product and technology teams to develop and enhance these services
  • Develop, plan and direct product strategies, including go to market activities and product development roadmaps by using a product management and marketing methodology
  • Work cross-functionally with various Experian business units and product development teams to ensure these services are positioned in alignment with other Experian capabilities and platforms
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to build measure and learn as we develop new solutions for the marketplace
  • Develop sales training and selling materials based on Return on Investment and how Experian can solve client challenges
  • Identify target accounts/markets - partner with sales to drive adoption
  • Understand how trended data assets are utilized and integrated by financial institutions across the customer lifecycle (Prospecting, Acquisition, Account Review)

Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of the Financial Services industry with experience in financial services data assets
  • 5 + years of experience in Product Management or Marketing for B2B (business to business) or B2C (business to consumer) products or companies
  • Strong experience in strategy development - from analysis to recommendation
  • Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written required
  • High sense of urgency and ability to work well in and navigate a matrix environment
  • Understanding of Pragmatic Marketing framework
  • Full understanding of Agile product development principles
  • Must have strong influencing skills and be able to interface with sales, analytics, operations, development and marketing personnel
  • Proven track record of driving product innovation that translates into revenue growth
  • A bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Resourceful creative thinker with strong analytical skills
