Role – Sr. Full Stack Developer, Innovation

We are looking for a strong full-stack developer, with a mix of Data Engineering skills, who is self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced agile development environment. You will be a key contributor in designing and implementing new innovative products for Experian Marketing Services. This is a highly technical role requiring excellent coding skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to deliver results quickly while working in a dynamic, cross functional, team-oriented environment
Support the engineering and analytics teams through the use and understanding of analytical tools operating in a big data cloud environment
Collaborate with the Global Architecture team members to continue to evaluate, recommend, and integrate new analytical tools
Provide technical leadership and hands-on validation of systems during the design, development, and testing
The Innovation team is in start-up mode – so quick learning is required – it is dynamic, changing and requires flexibility but has well defined strategic goals to achieve
Contribute to new product ideas through the innovation team, data analysts, scientists and product engineering etc.
Supporting new prototypes and MVP delivery – for an existing pipeline of initiatives and products that require planning and build acceleration, and future innovative products
Ability to effectively work with business and other IT teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with development, operations, project, management, and business personnel
Multitasks when required, and where minimal supervision is required – demonstrates ability to produce quality
Hand over specifications to the technical teams so they can develop technical specification that meet the business requirements. Support the technical teams in understanding the business requirements.
Maintain a high level of mutual respect and open communication with the client stakeholders at all levels of the project team, Product management and executive sponsors

Desired Skills and Experience

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
6+ years of software development experience including application development in a multi-platform environment, quality control and testing
Experience in building prototypes, POC and UI for demo on new ideas is a must
Experience with commercial big data environments and cloud solutions – AWS preferred
Experience with analytical domain tools including SAS, R Studio, Hue, Python, Cloudera, Snowflake etc.
Expertise in microservices/APIs using Java, .NET, containerization, NoSQL and SQL databases on cloud, such as AWS and Azure
Prior experience working in innovation teams or “start-up” environment
Working knowledge of automated configuration and deployment of tools is a plus
Working knowledge of scripting required. Experience with Python is preferred, and other scripting experience is a plus
Knowledge of software development practices and IT operations life cycles is required
Strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills
Must be a self-starter who embraces autonomy to lead and empower teams
Experience working in a complex, matrix organization, and working with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skillsets
