Summary of Job Purpose:  
Experian Decision Analytics helps clients achieve sustain significant growth.
The Solution owner is responsible for the overall solution architecture of the Business Solutions for our Decision Analytics customers. This role is responsible for ensuring the functional solution design and technical architecture of the solutions are designed per requirements and Experian best practices. In addition, this role drives solution consultancy with clients and provides best practice recommendation to client ensuring alignment with Experian Product capability. In addition, this role will also be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide leadership and recommendation in industry best practice and development of the solution.
 
Summary of Job Impact & Scope:
 
General
  • Work alongside Project Manager, Business Consultants, Solution Architect,  Technical Consultant and Product Consultant, taking responsibility in understanding the project’s scope and ensuring that project work undertaken does not exceed that scope
  • Manage solution delivery components and take ownership of the overall solution, not limited to :
    • Business/process flows
    • Integration approaches
    • Solution Performance
  • Provide leadership to the team and delivery projects, bridging the gap between business problems and Experian product capability as well as representing industry and Experian best practices
  • Lead, manage and drive requirements and design workshops internally and with clients through directive consultancy
  • Document client requirements (functional and non-functional) by observing the Requirements Language Policy
  • Ensure client requirements are met and traceable
  • Ensure all work is of a high quality and professionally presented
  • Represent Experian as an honest, knowledgeable and conscientious ambassador of the company
  • Work closely with team mates (internal/external) to resolve solution design challenges preserving Experian best practices
  • Attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Competent administrative skills.
     
    Application / Software Development & Maintenance
     
  • Understand the potential and the limitations of information technology and Experian products.
  • Must be able to work with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms.
  • Act as SME between APAC DA Delivery Hub and Experian DA Delivery regions as well as with clients.
  • Supports Project Manager in developing cost analyses, design considerations, and implementation time-lines.
  • Conduct feasibility studies of a computer system or component
  • Interact with customers and external teams throughout the delivery lifecycle ensuring smooth transition between phases
  • Interact with other team members and/or define the components associated with the software solution
  • Provide development progress updates to Project Manager
  • Provide directive guidance to the overall solution design
  • Review Test Strategy with the Test Manager
  • Ensure quality documentation and artefacts
  • Drives improvement initiatives that enhances delivery efficiency. 
  • Co-ordination of client’s acceptance/quality control testing.
  • Monitoring of results to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled.
     
    Change Management & Compliance
  • Ensure maintenance and development of the delivery team’s collateral e.g. source code, development environments, software, documentation, tools
  • Comply with published standards for coding, testing and documentation and other policies and procedures as laid down under the Delivery Framework
 
          Sales Process / Product Knowledge
  • Pre-sales software demonstrations and presentations to prospective and existing clients.
  • Completion of assigned pre-sales RFP questionnaire components relating to technical and functional implementation of Experian solutions
  • Provide solution proposals
  • Validate pre-contracted delivery commitments
     
    Administration / Project Tracking / Project Management
  • Work with Project Manager to validate requirements, assumptions, scope against contractual obligations
  • Recommend & Confirm Delivery Approach and work with Project Manager to define the project plan
  • Work with Project Manager to identify change request,  assess impact to project
  • Regular reports on work progress and projects to line manager/project manager. 
  • Project status reports to clients and internal management.
  • Timely submission of timesheets, leave forms and other administrative components
     
    Personal Development
  • Design and progression through own Personal Development Plan following the identification, with line management, of technical or interpersonal skills development needs or lack of client/business knowledge.
     
    Team Work
  • Demonstrate commitment to achievement of team objectives by identifying and acting on ad-hoc and on-going opportunities for providing support to other team members.
  • Provide coaching and cross training to other staff in order to facilitate an even spread of knowledge and aid in succession planning
  • Mentor and educate other members of the team
  • Drives improvement initiatives that enhance delivery efficiency.
Personal Attributes & Experience:
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing (integration, user, and performance), debugging, implementation, and support
  • Sound knowledge in the application of SDLC process for specific project nature
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, able to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years delivery or solutions experience with at least 8 years experience in a team lead role
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong financial domain background and a minimum 10+ years consultation experience
  • Understanding of appropriate technology components. 
  • Experience and ability to lead a project involving other technological competencies
  • Experience in implementing Workflow applications, Collections application, System integration, big data solutions
  • Experian product knowledge preferred
  • Strong team player and performance driven individual
  • Used to work under tight time pressure, great sense of priority management
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Studious problem analysis skills
