The Global Finance Centre of Excellence Revenue Reporting team successfully partners with corporate IT specialists and end-users of Experian’s financial systems to help ensure timely and efficient delivery of insightful and accurate solutions to support Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting; Management Information; and Financial Reporting business activities across Experian’s global organisation.


Roles within the Centre of Excellence are business facing roles working closely with users to understand their varied requirements, helping them fully leverage existing system capabilities and developing new solutions within a dynamic organisation.


Role description

The Senior Revenue Reporting Specialist has a global responsibility for partnering with users of both Sales Insight and Revenue Planning applications.  This role will be supporting multiple Sales Insight instances and Revenue Planning Applications; working directly with the businesses to guide and support them in using the systems to create accurate reporting, facilitate data governance, answer key business questions, and manage the transition from current processes to system generated ones.

    

This individual will act as Lead within in the team to manage and administer revenue sharing and allocation rules, research and resolve data mapping issues, work with the CoE and GCOA teams on business hierarchy needs / changes, facilitate stakeholder forums, create standardized training materials, and drive effectiveness within the team.



Understanding the business

Ability to understand the business context of Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting; Management Information; and Financial Reporting business activities

Identify, evaluate, innovate and implement improvements to create efficiency and effectiveness of how users leverage the strategic solutions

Business User Support 

Be the subject matter expert and leader on the Sales Insight and Revenue Reporting systems and go-to for global stakeholders

Consult and partner with the businesses to identify revenue sharing and mass allocation rule needs; administer or facilitate creation of the revenue sharing rules with Oracle support. 

Proactively advise and consult on best practice system and reporting capabilities to the businesses through an understanding of their business and system competences

Partner with the businesses in report, dashboard, and driver creations 

Drive resolution of system data issues through partnership with the businesses and technology teams

Identify, investigate and help correct user data loading issues

Research and resolve data mapping issues by partnering with the business to agree on proper reporting structure of customer, vertical, sales associate, sales channel, product, etc. and communicate needs to the CoE and the GCOA teams where necessary

Support with changes to Sales Channel assignments, customer mappings, and other hierarchy changes

Act as liaison between GCSS, CoE and the businesses for needed changes. Create Change Requests identified by businesses / their needs.

Act as Business tester for system changes

Load prior period adjustments when needed and notify regional FP&A teams once complete and system is reconciled

Maintain internal Zoom information site for Sales Insight and Revenue Planning

Support annual, quarterly monthly RCP (Revenue by Customer / Product) reporting

User Adoption

Drive best-practice usage of Sales Insight and Revenue Planning applications across global user community  

Drive change management objectives by understanding current processes, identifying automated solutions and partnering with users to implement

Perform user training for both beginner and more advanced users

Coordinate information sharing on analytics and reporting through global user forums and special trainings

Coordinate regional user forums and establish super user group, building strong and effective relationships with end-users 


What will they need to have for this role i.e. skills and qualifications
Qualifications: 
Essential:
5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience 
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
Self-motivated individual with the ability to identify improvement areas and initiate change
Demonstrated leadership ability either through directly leading/supervising a team or through project work
Superior communication skills, must be able to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and lead large groups for user forums / training sessions
Ability to build relationships and manage across a matrix organization
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize
Strong team player with a positive attitude
Experience with reporting systems, Oracle and Hyperion Essbase skills preferred 
Desirable:
Strong Database experience with SQL, Access, or other systems
Domestic and international travel may be required to help support this and other global activities
Experience with large ERP systems (ex. Oracle, SAP)
Experience working across time zones
