Experian Consumer Services (ECS) are seeking a Front End QA to join our growing website optimisation team in Experian Consumer Services.


We are a consumer facing business with an exciting and innovative product roadmap. You will be joining a team of front end developers who support the business achieve it’s ecommerce goals through AB/MVT testing and product enhancements. This role is part of a team of 8 engineers, co-located with the Marketing department.


You will be responsible of testing optimisation campaigns (A/B and MVT) across our website and web platforms as we test out new changes to our ECS products. You will work closely with developers and product owners to ensure releases are bug free. 


You will execute tests for different browser, devices and platforms to monitor web performance, user experience, accessibility etc. Work will need to be checked on staging & live environments and with comprehensive bug and QA issue reports provided. You will also look at the possibility of introducing automation scripts and using different software to avoid manual efforts and to optimise the QA process. 


You’d be joining an Agile delivery team who use Scrum and would be part of an organisation that works using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You’ll find it easiest to understand the way we work if you’ve worked using Agile delivery methods in the past.



Responsibilities:


- Play a key role in software quality improvement for customer-facing websites.

- Responsible for identifying, recording and verifying bugs in the software which should include. providing test evidence.
- Perform testing to an agreed standard allowing the release of quality code to a live environment.
- Perform ad-hoc testing and problem-solving support for urgent business critical development. fixes.
- Testing the customer web experience journeys such as Sign-up, Login, Forgotten Password etc.
- Review requirements and prepare test acceptance criteria for the test campaigns.
- Execute tests in multi-browser and multi-device testing.
- Formally record test evidence and archive test results.
- Contribute to the test risk and issue log and help drive continuous improvement.
- To test Adobe Target and Split campaigns with multiple variations in multiple environments
- To self organise and prioritise work depending on business needs.
- Help investigate and debug issues after development.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- General understanding of A/B and MVT testing. 
- Comfortable with working to tight deadlines.
- Have great attention to detail. 
- Have a keen interest in technology and keep up to date with current tech trends. 
- Great interpersonal and communications skills to be part of a close-knit team.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the Agile methodology.
- Previous experience of a testing role within an agile team
- Feature or user story refinement
- Strong understanding and use of JIRA 
- Able to provide creative solutions to fresh challenges on a daily basis

Preferable (but not essential)
- ISEB/ISTQB certified desirable although not essential.
- Experience/working knowledge of AWS 
- Interest in automation and emerging technologies. 
- Previous experience of building webpages and/or optimisation tests 
- Experience of React
- Has worked in an agile delivery team ideally Agile methodology. 
- Understanding and experience using JIRA and Confluence.
- Commercial experience within a Software Testing / Test Analysis position.
