As Enterprise Data Services continues to grow, we are excited to add a Product Owner to our team. This role will serve as the primary point of orchestration for product delivery in our product team. This person will manage the prioritization and requirements to take a product or feature through to general release and contribute to the smooth operation of the product team.  This role will have the responsibility of product oversight for delivery and execution of solutions identified by the product managers and key stakeholders in Experian Health.


Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Curate inputs: Understand the product direction (current and future state and needs of various stakeholders. Support troubleshooting for reported client issues such that a determination of issue is made (i.e., cause and suggested solution) in order to translate into open JIRA for appropriate team

  • Own the backlog:  Be personally accountable to translate the product managers’ priorities into ranking and prioritize work for technical teams

  • Define experiments: Help validate technical concepts, vision and roadmaps from product managers

  • Own the release: Document requirements, engage with development on open questions, approve final scope, ensure testing is completed, complete release notes

  • Support go to market: Ensure elements of new product or feature are taken care of (included, deferred, shelved) throughout the product lifecycle

  • Make us better through data: Conduct retrospectives and find ways to continually help the product management and development organizations better

  • Be a student and an expert: Learn constantly about the needs, process improvement opportunities and users, while being an expert of the product function

  • Be a leader: Drive cross functional teams and influence non direct report team members in order to get things accomplished

  • Make communication simple and transparent: Make ideas understandable for business team members, while ensuring sufficient technical detail. Communication should be frequent, transparent and open to ensure trust and understanding

  • Identify and remove roadblocks: Identify possible issues early and work with teams and leaders to resolve quickly

  • Be timely: Troubleshooting of issues and liaising with development requires immediate and prompt communication with appropriate parties


  • Two years’ previous experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or in a related field.
  • Experience operating as Program/Project Manager.

  • CSPO or PSPO Certification preferred but not required.

  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices

  • Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, computer science, or related field

  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management is preferred.

  • Experience with Agile project management tools.

  • High sense of urgency and ability to work well in and navigate a matrix environment.

  • Must be able to interface with development, business, analytics, operations, systems and marketing personnel.

  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.

  • Advanced customer service skills.

  • Advanced oral and written communications skills.

  • Advanced product management, project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
