Global Sourcing is a team of 75 people located in USA, UK&I, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America and manages excess of $1bn spend.  The UK and EMEA team consists of 14 people based in Nottingham Specialising in specific categories including IT, data, professional services, HR and facilities. 
You will be working primarily at Experian’s Nottingham office, with regular monthly visits to other offices.
Reporting to the Global Data Procurement Manager and will have shared responsibility for the data acquisition category, the buyer will:-
  • Manage RfPs, auctions and contract pipelines – Utilising our esourcing tool
  • Analyse and report to stakeholders and make recommendations
  • Continually communicate and influence internal stakeholders within various countries
  • Work in close alignment with the business to support their needs
  • Negotiate and challenge vendors to realise best value for Experian
  • Negotiate contractual terms within agreed legal framework
  • Maintain category management documents.
  • Work closely with the finance and legal teams to ensure good governance is maintained
  • Develop and maintain the data category strategy reflecting the business needs
  • Identify and manage risk within contracts to support FCA requirements
  • Strong administration skills and commercial awareness
  • Negotiation skills
  • Analytical Skills – ability to analyse complex numerical and non-numerical data
  • Commercial Law –understanding of contractual law, including risks
  • Time Management – ability to manage their own time and priorities.
  • Management of Key Stakeholders –ability to influence key relationships, internally and externally, Including the reporting and presentation of reports, recommendations, outcomes.
  • User of Oracle ERP system (training can be provided)
  • Languages – additional languages desirable but not essential
