The Java Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining solutions on-prem and in AWS.  Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution. Assure security, compliance, and quality requirements are met for supported area. Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment. Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

  • Install, upgrade, configure and maintain applications in AWS and on-prem environments
  • 24x7 management of AWS including service allocation, configuration of instances, capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate common administration tasks
  • Deploy & maintain AWS environments as required
  • Optimize and tune the environment to meet the performance requirements
  • Monitor and manage the back-up and Disaster Recovery processes
  • Create key performance metrics, measuring the utilization, performance and overall health of the environment
  • Report utilization and performance metrics to user communities
  • Develop and maintain operational best practices for smooth operation of the data analytics environment
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience developing applications using Java Technologies
  • Should be well versed in Core Java, and java frame works
  • Should be good at coding and complex programming
  • Should have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Should have experience in AWS
  • Knowledge in AWS EMR or Cloudera is a great plus
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-changing environment
  • Should be involved in working in an onsite/offshore model
  • Should have worked on all the stages of SDLC from Design to System Testing, implementation and post implementation
