We have an exciting new opportunity for a Global Sustainability Reporting Manager to join our growing Corporate Social Responsibility team here at Experian!

Reporting to the Global Director of Corporate Responsibility, this role has accountability for creation and delivery of the Group’s Sustainability Reporting programme. This includes alignment of our global sustainable business strategy to the business priorities and its long-term goals, develop and deliver Experian’s Environment programme and support our ESG strategy/response to investors, clients and other stakeholders.

The purpose of this role is to evolve and drive our sustainability reporting at a global level, aligning to and supporting long-term business strategy and goals.  This role will also lead and drive Experian’s Carbon Neutral programme.

Key responsibilities include: 

Sustainability reporting

  • Lead professional driving the creation and delivery of Experian’s sustainability reporting programme.
  • Lead and drive our external Assurance and internal audits.  This includes planning, organising, engaging, coordinating and working alongside external auditors and internal stakeholders during our year-end reporting cycle.
  • Drive, monitor, control and measure performance across key global sustainability indicators.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of our CR database system.


Global Environment Programme

  • Lead professional (for the Experian Group – and at a Global level), applying expertise on environment, and in particular the following key areas:
    • TCFD reporting
    • Carbon reduction plans
    • Carbon offsetting plans
    • Single-use plastic reduction
  • Lead and drive Experian’s Carbon Neutral programme.
  • Develop Experian’s Environment programme to best industry standards
  • Provide strategic input to enable Experian to be eligible in ESGs funds and attract further responsible investment.
  • Implement/evolve new standards and procedures to strategically improved Experian’s environment reporting.


Legislation, policies and expert advice

  • Lead professional (for the Experian Group – and at a Global level), applying expertise on environment legislation and advising the business accordingly. Responsible for setting appropriate standards and procedures to fulfil global environment mandatory requirements.
  • Lead and drive Experian’s Environment policy discussion and developments. Responsible for the annual review and update of global policies covering both fields (H&S and Environment), undertaking regional consultations and ensuring that global and regional development in legislation is considered and built in.
  • Support preparation and fulfilment of any other global ESG and non-financial reporting related legislation.


Commercial and Business Units support

  • Provide strategic inputs to help the business identify risks arising from ESG issues and advise accordingly.
  • Apply expertise to support commercial business units through key characteristics on approach and performance on sustainability.
  • Contribute with the development of our sustainable business strategy, supporting the development and implementation of new standards and arrangements to back up our sustainability principles.


  • Responsible for leading, driving, completing and improving Experian’s CDP response and position on leader boards.
  • Lead professional, providing expert advice and strategic inputs to support other functions fulfil requests from Socially Responsible Investors and Clients.
  • Partner with, and support, the Global Director of CR in the fulfilment and improvement of the following indexes:
    • FTSE4Good
    • Sustaynalitics
    • MSCI
  • Provide strategic inputs to evolve our global programmes, and recommendations to increase scores and positions in SRIs.

Global communication and awareness

  •  Lead and drive all internal and external global environment communications.
  • Provide strategic and expert inputs in the production of our internal and external reports.
  • Partner with, and support, Director of CR in the development of other sustainability related communication plans, campaigns and reporting.

Experience and qualifications we're looking for: 


  • Minimum degree level /BSc (hons)
  • Environment/CR/Sustainability related degree
  • Post-graduate degree on a similar area would be highly desirable.


Vocational/professional certification:

  • IEMA
  • Professional qualification in auditing
  • Any other globally recognized qualification associated to any of the CR-related areas of expertise


  • Expert level knowledge on environment, particularly in the areas outlined below:
  • Legislation, frameworks and best practices
    • Carbon emissions (inc. scopes)
    • Science Based Targets (SBTi)
    • Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
    • Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
    • Carbon reductions initiatives
    • Carbon offsetting
  • Extensive experience in ESG and non-financial reporting
  • Excellent reporting and auditing skills
  • Experience managing CR database systems
  • Excellent numerical skills and advanced excel skills
  • Expert analytical skills (Able to understand data sources and indicators, and identify trends and issues with data)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – demonstrable ability to write, and to communicate effectively with various stakeholders at different levels in the organization
  • Influencing skills, leading beyond authority
  • Demonstrable ability to manage stakeholders at senior level
  • Project management – demonstrable ability to manage projects to deadlines, involving multiple stakeholder and content management
  • Good understanding of H&S and knowledge of legislation preferred.
