Reporting to the CISO, The Director of Corporate Security will have oversight of the enterprise wide corporate security program, which includes employee and facility safety. The Director of Corporate Security will have the responsibility of developing the strategic vision and the implementation of the strategies to support the vision and mission of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Align the overall strategic vision for corporate security with the goals of the overall global security program.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap that drives maturity within the program.
  • Serve as internal expert on security matters for senior leadership and provide reports on security issues/threats.
  • Assess, develop, update and enforce security plans and policies for employees and facilities.
  • Conduct physical security site assessments and inspections to determine security status and recommend measures necessary to ensure compliance with existing policies, procedures and local and legal requirements.
  • Oversee provision of travel/workplace safety/security training for employees.
  • Manage and mature the Travel Safety Program.
  • Oversee intelligence gathering and incident triage of any threats against the company and/or its employees.
  • Coordinate both internal and external resources to conduct threat and risk analyses of company facilities.
  • Coordinate investigative activities of all major external and internal investigations including physical security events, data issues, crimes about persons and illegal acts.
  • Partner with Information Security, Business Continuity, HR, Legal and other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree or equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position or at least 10 – 15 years of experience of increasing responsibility within security, and/or law enforcement/intelligence field including 5 years of experience leading a comparably sized organization in private sector corporate security or a related public sector organization.
  • Financial Services industry security experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have at least three years’ experience hiring, managing, evaluating, training, and mentoring security personnel.
  • Must be able to forecast and develop budgets.
  • Must be able to manage financial resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of proper investigative methodologies.
  • Exposure to security technologies, applications, and software.
