The Purpose of Your Role

We're looking for someone to join us on a 12 months fixed term maternity cover contract. You will support the organisation’s internal communications strategy and lead the delivery of key communications to staff in a planned manner. You'll take lead responsibility for the planning and implementation of a range of events and conferences.


Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with senior management to create a range of creative and innovative campaigns that will help engage and support staff.

  • Create newsletters, working with colleagues throughout the organisation to collate content from their regions and distribute on a quarterly basis.

  • Working with other areas of the business to identify and encourage delivery of internal communications that engage staff and improve collaboration using Poppulo and other platforms where necessary.

  • Oversee internal communications best practices. Provide knowledge, support and expertise in communication techniques for staff.

  • Maintain awareness of any Regional and Global campaigns, ensuring key messages are suitably framed and delivered for local staff

  • Manage the delivery of the local organisation’s content on our intranet site to engage and inform staff. 

  • Continually evaluate the success of internal communications and internal communications tools, working with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Coordination and completion of regular reporting activities; dashboard reporting for senior management meetings, organise monthly Business Briefing and All Hands meetings etc.

  • Working with senior management to plan events and conferences such as Company Day, the Global team Conference and the Christmas Party.
  • To complete agreed programmes of work, meet challenging targets, deadlines and standards of performance as agreed with line manager.

What Experience You'll Need: 

  • A minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant subject, with good ‘A’ Levels or equivalent qualifications

  • The ability to work with people at all levels within the business, including senior leadership

  • A proactive approach and desire to improve existing communication methods

  • Competent project management and event organising skills

  • A methodical and organised approach – must be able to able to prioritise projects and tasks

  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities

  • The ability to be flexible and work independently on assigned briefs
